WANTED: The perfect bar cart

Now that I’ve moved into a new place and am more or less settled in, my search for new and unique pieces of furniture to fill the holes has begun. I am so in love with the Delaney Rattan Bar Cart from Pottery Barn! I love the look and feel and functionality of the piece. It would make a wonderful addition to my new space, however at around $350 it is a little out of my pauper price range. So the hunt begins! I am in search of a chic, functional, affordable piece that will hold all my glasses, booze and general bar accessories. If you know if any good sites or resources, please let me know 🙂

Pauper Picks: 5 Slouchy Spring Trousers Under $75

Apricot Wide Leg Trousers, $63.00

I can’t wait for the weather to FINALLY warm up! One of the (only remaining) upsides to this chilly April weather is that it gives me a reason to pine over slouchy trousers for spring. I love the menswear inspired cuts and details of these pants. And the best part is that they are all under $75!

The Soft Pant, $49.99

Zara Pleated Trousers, $59.90

Career Day Trousers, $24.80

Tobacco Paper Bag Waistband Belted Tapered Trousers, $60

My Kind of Town…

At the end of February, I decided to embark on one of the biggest adventures of my life – I moved to Chicago. It was a move I had thought about for a while and the decision was finally made at the end of January.  So I packed up a Uhaul with all of my worldly possessions, drove halfway across the country and unloaded in a foreign city with the hope of a fresh start and exciting opportunities. Washington, DC will always have a very special place in my heart and I will miss so much about that glorious capital city. I plan to keep blogging and to continue to bring pretty styles on a pauper’s budget from the Windy City.

Wish me luck!!!
